WE HAVE A COURT DATE!


APRIL 21st, 2010


Yes, this time next week we hope to be sharing pictures of our precious daughter!! This time next week she will be officially our daughter according to the Ethiopian courts!! AND , this means that we will not have to be present for court. We will have a Power of Attorney representing us
in court next week. If our court date had been After May 1st, we would have to be there and then travel again to bring her home. Since we have an April court date ,we do NOT have to be there and will travel in June most likely to bring her home!! Yippee!!!!

Next week , I hope to have more pictures that look like this!!


This was taken when my bestest friend came into town and we celebrated our referral at a local Ethiopian restaurant!! What Fun!!

Hopefully next week , we can take the whole family to celebrate our daughter officially being OURS!!!!

A Season Of Thanks

Thanksgiving was a sweet time of fun and fellowship with family and friends this year. And a time to reflect on just how blessed we really are. Lottie began this season of thanks with a turkey cupcake party with her Friday morning playgroup. What fun they had making...and EATING...their turkeys!!!

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we have started a wonderful tradition of gathering with three other families from our adoption travel group to China. Three families including us are in the area and the fourth family travels through Raleigh to visit family on Thanksgiving! We are so very blessed to have such a wonderful group of people to have shared this adoption journey with. They always enjoy each other as you can see here!

Lottie enjoyed sharing with her friends that she was going to be a "BIG SISTER"!!!

We always gather each year for a Thanksgiving covered dish meal with extended family. Here is a peek at our smorgasboard!!! We left fat and happy!!!

We returned home where our our dear friends from the beach joined us for the weekend.

We always have fun catching up, doing a little shopping, and this year the kids broke in our newly transformed garage playroom!

EIGHTEEN!!

Last night my bestest girlfriend came in to town to celebrate her son's eighteenth birthday. He goes to school here in the area and we hosted a party here at the house. Her family all came over for the celebration. Once again I am in awe at how time flies...it seems like yesterday I could see him at 5 years old excitedly trying to get a word in during the children's sermon at church. (His dad was the pastor :) ) We have so enjoyed watching him grow and mature through the years and look forward to seeing how God unfolds the possibilities in his life.
